Michelle Fletcher is a director, choreographer and film-maker based in Brooklyn, NY. Fletcher founded Here Now Dance Collective in 2008 (originally based in San Francisco) and consistently creates new work with the company. Widely recognized for her installation, multi-media, post-modern experiments and research driven work, the collective (HNDC) is engaged to perform in venues across the country. Fletcher has received numerous awards including The Zellerbach Family Foundation and a CHIME grant via Margaret Jenkins’ Dance Lab.
Most recently, Fletcher served as a Fulbright Scholar at The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, teaching contemporary technique and dance technology.

Fletcher received her BFA from North Carolina School of the Arts and her MFA from Florida State University.
